The Bukit Tiban National Park encloses the headwaters of two major rivers in the Miri Division, namely Sungai Nyalau and Sungai Timong (a tributary of Sungai Suai), and Sungai Sigrok, a tributary of Sungai Similajau in the Bintulu Division
The Tanjung Batu Beach is located about 5 KM from the navel of Bintulu Town. The beaches are the locals' focus, especially on weekends and public holidays. Facilities provided include children's playgrounds, huts, public toilets, dining and leisure and sports facilities.
Pasar Tamu & Pasar Utama are two markets located near each other along the riverfront selling a range of local produce. The cone-shaped roofs symbolize the traditional Melanau headgear, the terendak. The top floor of the Pasar Utama has stalls selling local hawker food favourites.
