Perak Darul Ridzuan

Known as 'The Land of Grace', Perak was once a wealthy tin-mining state. Its name, meaning 'silver', is believed to have been derived from the tin-ore deposits that were once abundant in this state. Today, it greets visitors with a wealth of unique attractions and cultures. Perak's delightful cornucopia of wonders include intriguing cave temples, the country's oldest museum, Malaysia's very own Leaning Tower and the country's first night safari.

Pulau Pangkor

Perak's Pangkor Island is endowed with scenic fishing villages, beautiful beaches, sparkling turquoise waters and a number of historical attractions such as the Dutch Fort and Batu Bersurat (Ancient Inscribed Stone). Just off its coast is the privately-owned Pangkor Laut, a luxurious getaway.

Taiping Zoo & Night Safari

Home to some 180 local and exotic wildlife species, Taiping Zoo is the country's first zoo. Join the Night Safari for a ride on the mini train around the zoo and catch some of the zoo's nocturnal inhabitants in action. The first of its kind in Malaysia, the Night Safari uses a special lighting which is similar to moonlight for a more authentic experience.
